The Mi-ki a real little Jewell of a Dog  !

 Mi-Ki is a very easy breed , non shedding , so ....hypo allergenic , very intelligent and has a sweet nature

Extremely , loving , affectionated , loyal and social , they dont bark a lot and will just let you know when somebody arrive in your area ,

They adapt to all kind of live style , and can be taken everywhere with you because of their small size .

They just need short walks and small run in the garden and a small combing once a week

 exist  is so many colours : White, Champagen, apricot,Blue . Silver , Gold ,red, creme , Brown sable, black , chocolate , grey  or .... mixed bicolor or tricolor

There are 2 variety of coat Smooth or long and the size beiing form 4 to 8 , makes also smaller and bigger ones.

 History

The first exemplars has been bring in the States by Lt Commandant Decau Van Wormer from the war in Vietnam  as a gift for her mother Maureen Westberg  Van Wormer that lives in Milwaukee , Wisconsin  and breed under the name of TEE-NEE her nick name was miki so she gived her nickname to the breed, she was a breeder of  Shi-Tzu.

In the beginning  mi-kis where called Wan Chu Kow, as much as I coudl learn over the breed  and it seesm not easy to get informations !!!

In Asia Mi-ki , (Mee kee) means new life , new beginning ....what a nice name .some other stories say that it was the nick name of Maureen the first breeder of Miki.

My name is French ...Monique and everybody call me Micky , so I seem to be predestinate to have those little jewell in my house also .

As far as I know they seesms to share commun ancestors with Malteser, Japan Chin, Yorkshire and papillons , all that knows more are welcome to help to relate a little more the  history of that lovely breed.

Mistakes in my explanations are posisible, I will change if anything new come from all of you .

 Their was a first club built by Maureen Van Wormer, in  1991 .as the Greater   American  toy  Mi-ki Club  .

The Mi-kis where recognized , by States kennel clun in 1995.

. In January 1996 , 8  members from that club foundated the MCOA, Miki Club of Amrica , Donna Hall, that breed under the name of " Flyers " is President , breeder of my Tom Thumb,she has  bougth all the dogs from Maureen Von Wormer            .................................................

Now there si a few other clubs, the one that seems to group the most breeders is the AMRA club builted in....... by ........

In 2007 the organisation ARBA that organize shows, has permitt the mikis, to show , and all the Canine revue had open their publicity pages to the Mi-kis ,

In 2011, 2 big magazine specialized in dogs, had articles over the breed , and of course came  a great demand this last year as people has learn to apreciate the breed.

There is one breeder in Germany , that has 3 mikis, and one in Unitek Kingdom that has my Baby doll and her soon coming litter...and of course myself in Spain with 1 female to breed Baghera and 2 males as my Tom Thumb comes now quite old, and will not mated anymore , I already have a jong male Trex to follow, and a female to small to breed that I keep for Compagnion, Misty because she has such one special adorable temperament, , Misty is now 1kg 750, maybe if she gaine a litle more she will be able to have puppies, but it is not yet  for now ..

I breed Mi-kis sinds 2005 , I have begin with 2 multi -champion Tom Thumb the male and Cookie the female, that both are champion of Canada, International and American .

Tom has been the first male to be " BEST IN SHOW " junior in the breed . I have kept 2 of their daugthers,  Melle Chocolat and Miss Piggy , and have acquired a little white female from Coronado famous male Golden cup and Multi-Champion Chester , and Kept a litle female from Amy and Tom called Baby doll .....

 I also have a little male, son of Tom - Lion Simbad In Germany that I co-owned .but Amy , chocolate and Cookie are already in families, neutred and no more puppies , Miss Piggy unfortunatly die.
